Stop At: Nu’uanu Pali, Oahu, HI

The Nuʻuanu Pali State Wayside is a lookout above the tunnels where there is a panoramic view of the Oʻahu’s windward side with views of Kāneʻohe, Kāneʻohe Bay, and Kailua. It is also well known for strong trade winds that blow through the pass (now bypassed by the Nuʻuanu Pali Tunnels).

Stop At: Byodo-In Temple, 47-200 Kahekili Hwy, Kaneohe, Oahu, HI 96744-4562

The Byodo-In Temple is a non-denominational Buddhist temple located on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. It was dedicated in August 1968 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaiʻi.

Stop At: Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut Farm and Farm Tour, 49-227 Kamehameha Hwy Ste A, Kaneohe, Oahu, HI 96744-5165

Located on the north end of Oahu on Highway 83 (Kamehameha), near mile marker 32, is this easy to miss macadamia Nut Farm. Nothing has changed in more than 10 years. The very friendly staff are available to provide free 100% Kona coffee and macadamia nuts (a wide variety) as samples. A great bathroom break stop. They also carry the delicious coconut peanut butter produced by North Shore goodies. The farm also provides garden/farm tours via a beat up bus and has a few souvenir stands in the back. The garden setting is beautiful. Parking is abundant but be aware there are likely to be one to there large tour buses dropping off their patrons for the goodies. A wide variety of Hawaiian souvenirs are also available. Whatever you purchase can be mailed right from their location–they will take care of the packaging for a few bucks and save you the hassle at the airport.

Pass By: Kualoa Ranch, 49-560 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, Oahu, HI 96744-5152

Kualoa today is a working cattle ranch with more than 500 head, established way back in 1850. The ranch is also a private nature reserve and a living memory of what Oahu looked like over 150 years ago. The name Kualoa means “long back” in Hawaiian, which refers to the ranch’s deep valleys and soaring mountainous peaks.

Stop At: Oahu’s North Shore, Oahu’s North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii

The laid-back North Shore is a stretch of coast known for big waves and professional surfing contests at Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. In summer (May–Oct), Pūpūkea Marine Life Conservation District has calm water for snorkeling among colorful coral and fish. Indie galleries, surf shops and Hawaiian plate-lunch spots fill Haleiwa town. We will be having a lunch break at Fumi’s Shrimp truck in Kahuku. No worries for non-seafood lovers, we have alternates.

Pass By: Sunset Beach Park, 59-104 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, Oahu, HI 96712-9728

Sunset Beach is on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii and known for big wave surfing during the winter season. The original Hawaiian name for this place is Paumalū. It is a two-mile stretch of mostly beige sand located at 59-104 Kamehameha Highway in Pupukea, 39 miles driving distance from Waikiki.

Pass By: Waimea Bay, Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, Oahu, HI 96712-1304

Waimea Bay is located in Haleiwa on the North Shore of O’ahu in the Hawaiian Islands at the mouth of the Waimea River. Waimea Valley extends behind Waimea Bay. Waimea means “reddish water” in Hawaiian.

Pass By: Shark’s Cove, Haleiwa, Oahu, HI 96712-8410

Shark’s Cove is a popular site for snorkeling, and is fairly shallow. Depths range up to 20 feet at the cove’s mouth. Diving conditions are better outside the cove. Caves can be found around the cove’s northwest point, and to a lesser extent to the south. The area to the left of the cove offers excellent night diving. The bottom outside the cove slopes to about 45 feet. Visibility is generally poor inside the cove, but improves quickly outside. The origin of the cove’s name is uncertain, but sharks are no more common here than anywhere else on the island. Shark’s Cove is one of the North Shore’s most popular SCUBA destinations.

Stop At: Haleiwa, Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii

Haleʻiwa is a North Shore community and census-designated place in the Waialua District of the island of Oʻahu, City and County of Honolulu. Haleʻiwa is located on Waialua Bay, the mouth of Anahulu Stream. This is also where you will find the World Famous Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck and Matsumoto Shave (no “d”) Ice.

World Coffee Farm is a small farm situated on the famous North Shore of Oahu Hawaii. Our farm consists of 7 acres of land with approximately +3,000 arabica coffee trees. Green World Coffee Farm was established in 2013 by owner Howard Green. They offer a full menu of items that can be purchased off the espresso bar, while also offer a retail section where coffee bags along with many other local merchandise can be purchased!
