Why choose this tour ?
A funny, self-guided, audio walking tour about Stockholm's history. Glenn the ghost is stuck haunting a city he despises: Stockholm. Could it have anything to do with a mysterious box left there by his mother? Go for a walk with Glenn, and save him from roaming the streets. Glenn shares anecdotes about historic Stockholm failures as you walk. The murder of King Gustav III? Very poorly planned, if you ask Glenn. Don't even get him started on Stockholm's bloodbath... This tour is self-guided via a GPS-based app downloaded to your phone. When you buy the tour, you receive an email with instructions on how to download the app which serves as your guide and narrator. Listen to the story while you walk. Sounds, illustrations, and game elements are triggered to show up on your mobile screen when you get close to them. The further you walk, the closer you get to finding the truth of why Glenn is haunting a city he dislikes so much. You can start, pause and end the tour whenever you want.

What makes Stupid Stockholm: a funny history walking tour game a unique experience ?
This funny, self-guided audio walking tour takes you through some of the nicest streets and alleys in Old town. Join Glenn the ghost as he tries to figure out why he is stuck haunting a city he despises. The tour starts in Triewalds gränd. When you get there, open up the StoryTourist app and start the Stupid Stockholm tour.
Glenn takes you to Mårten Trotzig's alley, to pick up something his mother left there for him. This alley is the most narrow alley in Stockholm, you can actually touch both walls when you stand in the middle. It doesn't impress Glenn very much though...
Glenn takes you to Stortorget square, where the Stockholm bloodbath took place in 1520. He tells you the story and complains about how poorly the Stockholm nobles handled the situation.
As you walk, Glenn hears an acquaintance calling for him. It's another ghost, from the viking age, who is haunting an old runestone which has been built into one of the houses of Old town. Glenn finds the whole situation annoying and urges you to move on.
The tour takes you past the Swedish parliament building, and Glenn shares his opinions about Swedish politicians.
Next stop: the Royal Swedish Opera building. Glenn recalls the story of how a Swedish king was the victim of an assassination here. But as per usual, he is not impressed with the poor planning of the whole thing.
If there is one thing Glenn really doesn't like, it's hippies. And it was hippies (in Glenn's opinon) who arranged a demonstration that lasted for days in order to save a few trees at Kungsträdgården park. Glenn takes you to look at the trees. Yes, they are still there. Sigh.
You'll walk past the Royal Palace as you head back into Old Town.
Glenn has some ghost friends who roam the halls of the Royal Armory Museum. You make a quick stop outside the museum. Maybe they can lend Glenn an outfit, a sword, or something else that can brighten his day a bit?
Glenn is slowly coming to terms with the reason why he is still stuck in stupid Stockholm. He takes you to see his favorite art installation, which actually reminds him of himself a bit... Have you managed to reveal enough about Glenn's past to be able to send him on his way over to the other side?
