Tour Description & Additional Info:

  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Remember that the weather conditions are out of our control, and there is no ice guarantee. If the ice conditions are not safe a winter hike will most likely be carried out instead, however last winter season we haven't had one single excursion on which we weren't able to skate 🙂
  • Dress for winter activity. Hat/beenie, gloves, 1 pair of warm socks are a must have! Think layers of clothes instead of very thick and warm ones. Downhill skiing pants and jackets are ok, thick running tights with wool long johns underneath. Avoid anything made of cotton (tee shirt and jeans).
  • Please email us your EU shoe sizes (37 -> 46) so we can prepare the equipment beforehand.

Special Instructions:

Please send the European shoe sizes (36 -> 47) of all participants to info@thegreentrails.com together with your Viator booking number to ensure the right equipment on the tour.   Recommended list of what to bring: Clothing: It’s an active excursion so don't dress too warm, but bring an extra layer for standing still! It's best to have clothing that dries up quickly, so avoid cotton if possible! Wool and polyester (often seen in sport-specific clothing) are best. Dressing in many layers is recommended over having one thick layer. This provides better insulation and it's easier to remove one layer when you're too warm. - 1 pair of warm socks + 1 thinner pair - Thermal base layer (i.e. winter running shirt) - Warm sweater (i.e. (micro) fleece, wool) - Water-resistant wind stopper or shell layer - Winter coat for breaks - Hat / Scarf / Gloves / mits - Either skiing trousers or thermal leggings/jogging trousers with water-resistant outdoor/sportive trousers over the top. Alternatively jogging trousers under a pair of jeans.  Accessories: - Waterproof phone container - Sunglasses - Camera
