What makes Ubud Cultural and Historical Guided Tour with Transfer a unique experience ?

Bali traditional house in Batuan Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. The house owned by Gung Aji family, foreigners call it Bali Traditional House Gung Aji. The house has a unique characteristic and it’s still preserved in ancient form whose walls still use clay. The structure of the building still uses wood and roof uses thatching grass. Puseh Batuan Temple, it is a local village temple and a part of three major temples in a village that is called Khayangan Tiga dedicated to the god of Wisnu (the god of protector). The temple is beautifully designed with Balinese architecture and antique Balinese ornaments décor entire temple building including the entrance gate. As usual temple in Bali, Batuan Temple is also featured by the three areas includes Nista Mandala (outside courtyard) Madya Mandala (Middle courtyard) and Utama Mandala (Main temple courtyard) whiches separated by open gate and close gate.

Elephant Cave, this cave built in 11 century by the king of Udayana. The name is came from the name of the small river nearby, it’s name Lua Gajah. In front of the cave built place for bathing with six figures Inside of temple there is places for meditation, west side is the statue of Sri Ganesh, east side is three Lingam, belived one with black cloth is for Wisnu Gods symbol of water, white cloth is for Siwa Gods symbol of the air and red cloth is Brahma Gods symbol of fire.

Gunung Kawi Temple, this complex temple was built in 11th century when Bali under ruled of Anak Wungsu the son of Udayana King. Gunung Kawi consist of 10 memorials temple rock cut, the rock cut has 2 groups, one group has 4 temples in western side belived monuments Anak Wungsu’s chief concubines and 5 groups in eastern side belived monuments for the King of Udanyana, his wife, Airlanga, Marakata and Anak Wungsu. One monument built a litle bit far in south of the other complex, this monument believed for the priest of the king. There are about 200 steps go down to see this monument with nice view of rice terraces.

Tirta Empul or Spring Water Temple, it’s located in Tampaksiring region near Gunung Kawi Temple. The temple was built around the springs and special bathing-pools. In the inner courtyard there is clear slate-blue spring water bubbling up into it’s own enclosed rectangular pool through a sedimentary layer of black sand. In Balinese legend this spring water was created by Indra God when he fighted with the Mayadenawa King. This place now very crowded with the people when the secret day for bath special ritual called in Balinese melukat. If you would like to do blessing with the spring water please bring changing clothes.

It is not known exactly when this temple was built but according to historical records it is stated that the Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple was built for the worship of the gods, especially Lord Vishnu on the orders of Rishi Markandeya. Rishi Markandeya is a Maharishi of Hinduism from the island of Java who move to Bali in 8th century. The atmosphere that is still beautiful is also presented by Gunung Kawi Temple. Right behind the temple there are forests and rice field that give a green effect. The water from the spring at the temple use to irrigate the rice field around the village.
