Portillo Inca Lagoon in Los Andes + Local Vineyard Tour

We will depart from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. for a scenic drive through Chile's intermediate depression, offering stunning views of the Andes Mountains. On our way, we’ll pass the historic Chacabuco Monument, site of one of the most significant battles in Chile’s fight for independence (1817). We will then cross the international tunnel marking the regional boundary, where you’ll have a breathtaking view of Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Southern Hemisphere. Our first stop is the In Situ Vineyard in San Esteban, where you'll enjoy a tasting of premium local wines. Continuing our journey through Río Blanco, we’ll pass small villages, mining camps, and awe-inspiring mountain ranges before arriving at Portillo, home to the renowned Inca Lagoon. Take in the magnificent views while you have lunch (on your own) by the serene lagoon, surrounded by the beauty of the Andes. The tour concludes with a return to your hotel, arriving around 5:00 p.m.

We arrived to this place to make a wine tasting in the In Situ vineyard and eat a typical Chilean empanada (included in the tour price).

Along this path we will ascend for 1 hour and a half to reach the Portillo ski center and Laguna del Inca

Here it is possible to have lunch in the hotel restaurant (on your own), open all year, and then visit the spectacular Laguna del Inca.

Spectacular lagoon formed by the melting of the Andes at 3,000 meters above sea level, 5 km. from the border with Argentina, inserted in the oldest ski center in South America, Portillo.

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to use the restroom, take photos of Andean camelids (llamas), enjoy delicious empanadas chilenas, have lunch, and more.

• From June to October, lunch at Hotel Portillo is not available on Saturdays, so lunch will be provided at an alternative restaurant.
