My name is Luis, I am an Economist and I worked as a consultant for more than 20 years. I changed my job for my passion: sailing and enjoying nature, especially the sea. I have been sailing since I was 10 days old, it is a passion inherited from my family and I love transmitting my knowledge of the sea and navigation to the people who accompany me. Since I arrived in Colombia with my family, I have had the opportunity to know the Tayrona in a way that people do not know, from the sea. It is a unique experience that we want to teach you. We are bilingual (Spanish and English) and we love to talk and tell local anecdotes, we will take you to live an unforgettable day.
The experience is carried out by Luis or his team. Luis has sailed all his life and Didier (Samario de Nacimiento and a family of fishermen) accompanies him along with Alvaro and Jeison, biologists who love the sea.

Be at Marina of Santa Marta 930 am. Say boat SONATA @ Gate. We depart 10 am. CANT wait past 9:50 am Sonata is a 58ft cutter rigged ketch built in 1979 in Taipei, Taiwan with 26 capacity. We will motor up wind to Bahia Concha in Tayrona Park passing at a distance by Taganga, Playa Grande, Aguja Island. At Bahia Concha we`ll anchor. Our auxiliary boat will take you to the beach or you can swim to it. You can snorkel, SUP board & sunbathe. WATER ACTIVITIES ONLY IN DESIGNATED AREAS. Lunch and 1 drink will be provided per person ON BOARD approximately 1 hour after arrival. 3:30pm everyone should be on board again to sail back wind permitting. Back at Marina by 5pm where you can enjoy the Sunset.

Let a three-time Grammy Award winner tell you the story of his hometown. Carlos Vives, one of Colombia's best-known artists, will bring the history of his beloved Santa Marta to life. Learn all about the history of Bastidas Bay. Carlos' voice will lead you to the Plaza de Bolivar, where you will discover one of the local tragedies that played a role in the Nobel Prize-winning book "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. You will admire the monuments in the square and learn the stories about the last days of Libertador Bolivar, who arrived in the city in his last days.The tour also takes you to the local culture, the history of the forts, the convent of San Franciscoand the Cathedral, while discovering how the city was sacked 17 times by pirates. Bring up to 12 people on this experience. We will meet at the Marina of Santa Marta at 9:30 am. We depart 10 am on this beautiful Ted brewer 37 ft .We will motor up wind to a Tayrona beach where we will anchor and spend the day swimming, snorkeling, SUP boarding and relaxing. 1 drink will be provided per person. Additional drinks are available for purchase. In the afternoon wind permitting, we will sail downwind back to the marina while enjoying the beautiful sunset Santa Marta is famous for. For those who are interested in learning how a sailboat sails this is a great intro to sailing. We should be back between 4:30pm- 5pm. Please keep in mind the sailboat moves in the water.

Embark on an exciting adventure in Tayrona Park.
The tour starts with pick-up from your hotel in Bocagrande, Laguito, Centro Histórico, Getsemaní or Zona Norte, and will take you through the city of Barranquilla. We will pass through the stunning beaches of Arrecifes, Arenilla and La Piscina, until we reach Cabo San Juan. Here, you can relax on the beach and enjoy a delicious lunch in Arenilla, with fish, chicken, meat or vegetarian options.
