What makes San Diego War for the West History Experience By Junket a unique experience ?

Originally known as Rabbitville for its use as a great rabbit habitat, eventually the area became known as Old Town, then the Gaslamp Quarter, named for the eponymous street lights. This sign came much later than the buildings here, completed in 1990.

Recognized as the oldest home in the Gaslamp, the materials for this saltbox style home were shipped from Maine, as lumber was scarce in the area. It would later become the County Hospital.

Today, the property is actually a combination of two separate hotels. In the 19th century, however, it became the home of the famed Wyatt Earp.

With an original capacity of 1,500, this theatre was constructed in 1924, and was known for its great acoustics and Broadway-size stage.

Designated as a historic landmark in 1971, the land for this park was sold to the city of San Diego in 1895.

Originally a blacksmith shop, boarding house, and brothel, this building was converted into a saloon in 1895, and played host to Wyatt Earp several times during his time is San Diego.
