What makes Eagle's Nest and Salzburg City Private Tour a unique experience ?
Start your sightseeing experience with a visit of Mirabellgardens, also used for many scenes during 'Do-Re-Mi' in the world-famous movie Sound of Music.
Next is a tour through the old town of Salzburg, passing Mozarts residence, Mozart’s birth place, the Salzburg Cathedral, the festival houses, St. Peter´s Church. And the highlight is a stop at Salzburgs best view point.
Just a little bit south of the city center, picturesquely situated at a small artificial lake lies the palace Leopldskron, former seat of the prince-archbishop and as well used as a shooting location for the world-famous movie Sound of Music. 10 outdoor scenes were filmed here portraying the von Trapp family home.
Next is Hellbrunn palace, built in the early 17th century, used by the Prinz Archbishops of Salzburg as a pleasure palace. Located south of the city center and surrounded by a beautiful park, Hellbrunn is also hosting the original rebuilt gazebo of the Sound of Music movie. Have a stroll through the park and visit the Sound of Music gazebo, where the Baron von Trapp kissed Maria for the first time and Lisl sang 16 going on 17.
You will continue your journey from Salzburg on a scenery rout to the Obersalzberg. From there you will access the Eagle´s Nest with special busses and elevator. You will have 2 hours at the Eagle´s Nest, take a stroll on the beautiful Kehlstein Mountain where the Eagle´s Nest is built on. From November 4th 2019 until about May 10th 2020 (depends on the snow conditions of the year), the Eagle's Nest direct access road is closed, alternatively we offer to visit the Rossfeld summit instead. From this vantage point, soak in panoramic views of the stunning Austrian and Bavarian Alps and the nearby Eagle's Nest. Feel free to choose this option also when Eagle's Nest is opened if you prefer a much less crowded, more local site than the Eagle's Nest.
The Hotel zum Türken was used by the Nazis and is next to Hitler´s Berghof. The Berghof was Hitler´s actual house at the Obersalzberg.
After eight hours exploring the Ealge´s Nest and the City of Salzburg, your privat tour will conclude with drop-off at your Salzburg hotel or any other location in Salzburg.
Meet your professional local guide at your Salzburg hotel and hop on board of your luxury minivan.
