What makes Prague in a Day: The Only Tour You Need! a unique experience ?
The only still-standing gate into the Old Town of Prague is where we start the tour.
The largest square in Prague, where Czechs go to protest or to celebrate. This is was the face of the Velvet Revolution in 1989.
Prague's oldest still standing theater, dating back to 1783. (Exterior only)
We check out the oldest still-active astronomical clock in the world, with the famous show of the clock.
The Old Town Square, the center of civic life in Prague since the Middle Ages, with the imposing statue of Jan Hus, the Marian Column and the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn
The Jewish Quarter, a place full of history and legends. We give you a good introduction to the history of Jewish Prague, and see most of the important sights, but we don't enter any of the synagogues, as they require a separate ticket, and that would be a whole new tour, worthy of an entire day.
Famous concert hall
We take the tram (tickets included) up the hill to one of Prague's oldest monasteries. Other than enjoying the view, we can have a lunch break here, as the monks brew excellent beer, and have a fantastic restaurant, where can try all the staples of Czech cuisine.
The world's largest castle, according to the Guinness Book of Records, continuously inhabited for more than a millennium, the seat of the Czech president. We visit every courtyard, we see the change of the guard and more, depending on availability.
St. Vitus inside Prague Castle is the holiest place for Catholics in the Czech Republic (one of the least religious countries in the world). Unless the cathedral is closed that day (you will be informed beforehand), we go inside and marvel at the gothic architecture and its stunning stained-glass windows.
The last neighborhood we will explore, Mala Strana, or the Lesser Town, is Prague's oldest quarter, even older than the Old Town. But as it was destroyed by fire in the end of the Middle Ages, it is now a gem of Renaissance and Baroque Architecture
The famous stone bridge built by Emperor Charles IV in the the mid-1300s.
