At our next stop on the beautiful beach with golden sand and turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea, you will have free time for swimming and rest. Leaving Famagusta behind we continue to the ancient city of Salamis. According to tradition, the founder of Salamis was Teucer mentioned by Homer in his Iliad. Salamis was the largest city in Cyprus in the ancient times. Along the way we will enjoy a panoramic view of the infamous “ghost town” – an area of “Varosha”, the exclusion zone as a result of the tragic events in the history of Cyprus.
