After an early start from the Port, we travel through New Zealand's best farmland, dairy farms, horse studs, & hydro dam - plenty to see on this trip!
As you descend into the world-famous cave (45 min guided tour) you can only marvel at the thousands of tiny glow worms and the wondrous display as your boat glides silently along the subterranean river. In the dark of the cave, their radiant luminescent lights give the impression of an amazingly clear night sky full of stars.
On our return journey we stop at the The Shires Rest Cafe, Hobbiton for a delicious lunch. This is where the cafe, toilets, booking office & wonderful gift shop are located.
