Tasty Global Bites is a walking food tour of Nolita (North of Little Italy). This tour is offered for foodies (visitors and locals alike) looking to try global cuisine. On this 3 hour tour you will enjoy 6 amazing tastings, 3 seated and 3 on-the-go as your knowledgeable tour guide entertains you with exciting stories and secrets of the area's past and the ever changing food scene.

The six tastings feature a Spanish churro sandwich, NYC pizza with a twist, falafel, mouthwatering fresh Sicilian pasta, Onigiri (Japanese rice ball) and a scrumptious dessert, gelato. Some tastings are on-the-go as we aim to see as much as possible of the neighborhoods in 3 hours’ time. Wine is offered to guests 21 and older at the seated pasta tasting.

In 1920, the United States enforced the 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which banned liquor production, public consumption and the selling of anything alcoholic. This catapulted the criminal world and helped the gangsters monopolize and grow their illegal business of alcohol. It made some of the most vicious gangsters gain fortune and fame. Illegal bars known as speakeasies opened by the tens of thousands all over the country and served bootleg liquor to the thirsty public. When something is illegal it creates an underworld that will stop at nothing. On this tour you will walk in the footsteps of the gangsters and visit some of the watering holes that served illegal liquor during Prohibition. While sipping on your now "legal" alcoholic beverage you will hear stories of the Mafia and how it infiltrated into society. At the end of the tour you will be a "wiseguy" about prohibition and the mob.

On this tour, our local guide will tell all the historical facts about the place and what makes these places unique. Also if you are the Instagram lover, this tour will offer you some great locations such as Brooklyn Bridge, Nolita and Lower East Side which also referred to as one of the trendiest districts in NYC. As well as some plunge into the historical social changes of the United States with the visit to the African Burial Ground National Memorial. Also, our tour allows you to try the different cuisine starting from Italian and finishing with all the Asian types in legendary Chinatown. The small tour with no more than 12 people will help you to personalize the experience and try to be in the shoes of the local New Yorker.
