It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the Castle with a free multimedia tour. From October to March, visitors can also walk through the sumptuous Semi-State Apartments, which served as the private rooms of George IV in the 19th century.
At St George's Chapel, you will have the opportunity to visit the site where Prince Harry married Ms Meghan Markle in 2018 to millions of viewers around the world. The chapel is also the final resting place of departed kings and queens from England's illustrious history, including Henry VIII and Charles I. If His Majesty is in Windsor during your visit, you may even be fortunate enough to see the Royal Standard flying on the flagpole of the Round Tower.

- Windsor Castle part of the tour departs from Evan Evans office at 13:00. (please arrive not later than 12:45 to check in)
- Transfer between Buckingham Palace and Evan Evans tours office is not provided (it is a 10-15 min walk)
