Why choose this tour ?
If you don’t want to fall into the typical tourist traps in La Paz, join me! We'll start with a three-course menu in the best restaurant in town to meet each other. From there, we'll head up to El Alto to experience the cable car system and take in panoramic views of the city, followed by exploring the historic downtown area, visiting landmarks such as the witches market, Jaén street and main square.. We'll also explore, and stroll through the picturesque colonial and republican architecture. Throughout the tour, I'll share stories and insights into La Paz's rich history and culture, and you'll have the opportunity to sample some of the city's high altitude coffee in my favorite coffee shop. By the end of the tour, you'll have gained a deeper understanding of La Paz and its people, and have experienced some of the city's most iconic sights and sounds with a breathtaking view of Illimani, our mountain protector. We’ll take the cable car purple line direct to El Alto to have the best views of La Paz and the altiplanic city of El Alto, I’ll explain the social and cultural dynamic of both cities during the ride.
We’ll walk through this colonial street and I’ll explain to you all about our Spain heritage, also is an important spot to take photos and understand the history of La Paz
Our main square, I’ll explain to you all the architecture, political situation, social issues and cultural behavior to understand better this city
Time to a gourmet coffee to continue our experience, La Paz is the best productor of high altitude coffee with a big variety of gourmet species, I’m sure you’ll enjoy if you like coffee. But if you not, there are a big selection of tee or other infusions.
The cathedral’s sheer immensity with its high dome, hulking columns thick stone walls, and high ceilings is overpowering. Inside, the main attraction is the profusion of stained glass work.
This colonial building was constructed in 1775 of pink sandstone and has been restored to its original grandeur in mixed baroque and Andean baroque style.
We’ll finish our experience with a breathtaking view of our protector mountain, “Tata Illimani”.
