What makes Biblical Ephesus Shared Tour from Kusadasi a unique experience ?

To begin, you will get to visit the Temple of Artemis. Although now only a few parts of the temple are left standing, the sight is still attractive to marvel at what was once there. The large marble column bases that are now scattered throughout the over growing swamp land give you an idea of how fantastic this temple once was and why it is listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Dating back to 6th Century B.C., it is one of the oldest relics in the area. The Temple of Artemis used to be part of the large Roman City Ephesus. These marble ruins are some of the best preserved you will see in the world.

Throughout your tour, you will get to visit the Temple of Hadrian

the Temple of Domitian and the large theater where it is believed that St Paul used to preach.

The brilliantly reconstructed Celsius Library will impress you, along with the ornate marble carvings that decorate the facade.

In the Ephesus region sits The House of the Virgin Mary. The small stone cottage is where Mary spent the last years of life after John the Baptist brought her to this place. It is now quite a popular pilgrimage sight for many religions that come to pay their respects and pray for good will.

Back down into the center of Selcuk sits the Basilica of St John. Although there is not a lot known about this church, it is believed that a tomb found in its foundations is the tomb of St John himself. The church was completed back in 565 AD and was one of the most sacred and holiest churches of its time.

Do not miss a chance to visit the Terrace Houses section which is located inside the Ancient City of Ephesus and has an extra entrance fee - 15 USD per person. "The houses of the rich Romans", the oldest building, dates back to the 1st century BC until the 7the century AD. You will be able to see amazing mosaics and frescoes and the famous water-running and heating system with clay pipes. Anyone who has seen it will tell you that it is one of the highlights of this place as you can picture the lifestyle of the people in that period. In this section, there are over 100 stairs, so we do not recommend it for people with physical disabilities. It takes a minimum of 30 minutes to visit.
