What makes Private Jaipur Sightseeing Tour By Tuk Tuk Rickshaw a unique experience ?
Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur, India. Made with the red and pink sandstone, the palace sits on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women's chambers. The structure was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, who was the founder of Jaipur.
City Palace is situated inside the old city, close to Hawa Mahal. An imposing blend of traditional Rajput and Mughal architecture. It is a massive palace complex occupying nearly one-seventh of the Pink City. It was originally built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. The complex is divided into a series of courtyards, sprawling gardens and buildings. It is home to several palatial structures like the Chandra Mahal, (home to present Maharajah of Jaipur), Mubarak Mahal (housing a textile museum), Diwan-e-Khas (or Hall of Private audience housing the two largest silver vessels in the world, which are duly mentioned in the Guinness book), the Diwan-e-Aam ( or Hall of Public Audience) and the gateway Ridhi Sidhi Pol (with four small doorways decorated with motifs depicting the four seasons). Foreigner: rs 700; valid for 2 days, includes entrance to Jaigarh Fort and Royal Cenotaphs, does not include entrance to Chandra Mahal.
The Jantar Mantar is situated in the heart of historic Jaipur, located opposite the City Palace. This UNESCO world heritage site is the largest of five astronomical observatories build by Maharaja Jai Singh during the period 1727-1734 in north India. The observatory consists of fourteen major geometric devices (or yantras in Hindi) for measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking stars in their orbits, ascertaining the declinations of planets and determining the celestial altitudes etc. There is signage providing elaborate explanations for the use of each device, and guides can be hired to provide much the same information in a more digestible format.
Located on the Nahargarh foothills, Royal Gaitor is a restful place. It comprises the magnificent cenotaph of Maharaja Pratap Singh, Madho Singh II and Jai Singh II. The stone monuments are intricately carved and beautifully displayed. Maharaja Jai Singh II has the most impressive marble cenotaph, with a dome supported by 20 carved pillars. You can visit this hidden gem of Jaipur to have some peaceful time. On the top of the ridge near the Royal Gaitor lies a Ganesh temple.
Jal Mahal (Water Palace), a Rajput style architectured palace sits in the center of the Mansarovar lake. The lake is often dry in the winter, but summer monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake filled with water hyacinths.
The Amer Palace and Fort is one of the most well-known and most-visited forts in India, situated in Amer, 11 kilometers from Jaipur, is one of the most legendary forts of Rajasthan. Amer, originally, was the capital of the state before Jaipur. It is an old fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. This fort is also very popularly known as the Amer Palace. Panna Meena Step Well is situated in Amer town of Jaipur district. You will have to cross some narrow streets of the ancient town to reach the spot. This ancient Panna Meena Step Well is a unique architectural wonder of India. The stepwell was built during the reign of Maharaja Jai Singh in the 16th century and was designed by a Brahmin (Hindu caste).
