What makes Denver in a Day-, RiNo Art District, Sites Downtown, Red Rocks a unique experience ?

A historic landmark in the heart of the Mile High City for more than a century, Denver Union Station is a vibrant destination for gathering, dining, imbibing, shopping, traveling, and sleeping in luxury at The Crawford Hotel. First opened in 1881, rebuilt in 1914, and revitalized 100 years later in 2014, the Station is at once a preserved monument to the city’s past, a celebrated place maker of today, and a visionary beacon for Denver’s future.

We will head to Red Rocks and do a short hike and explore for about 2 hours and have lunch there. We can do a 2 mile walk to get better views and then explore the Amphitheater and then the Musicians Hall of Fame museum afterwards. Red Rocks s an open-air Amphitheater built into a rock structure in the western United States, near Morrison, Colorado, ten miles (16 km) west of Denver. There is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several large outcrops angled outwards from stage left and a seating area for up to 9,525.

We can walk down Larimar street where the RiNo art district is. There is dozens of fascinating murals over the buildings in this area. As a former industrial hub, the RiNo Art District is a part of the historic neighborhoods of Five Points, Cole, Globeville and Elyria-Swansea in Denver, Colorado. During the turn of the last century the area was home to foundries, pattern shops and industrial uses that helped drive the economic success of Denver. As industry moved out of the city's core in the late 80s and 90s, the corridor was left with several vacant warehouses and a failing infrastructure. During this time artists began to populate the area as prices were very affordable and the area was fertile ground for arts, artists and creatives.

Coors Field is a baseball stadium in downtown Denver, Colorado. It is the home field of Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies. Opened in 1995, the park is located in Denver's Lower Downtown neighborhood, two blocks from Union Station. The stadium has a capacity of 50,144 people for baseball.

Stylish urban complex with a range of buzzy bars & restaurants, plus upscale boutiques & a hotel.

Historic district at the spot where Denver was founded, with independent shops, bars & restaurants.

Corinthian-style, gold-domed edifice offering tours, exhibits & photo ops at 1 mile above sea level. The Capitol building was designed by Elijah E. Myers, and its construction lasted from 1886 through 1901. The exterior walls of the Capitol are constructed of granite quarried near Gunnison, Colorado. The pink stone seen throughout the Capitol is rose onyx discovered near Beulah, Colorado. This coloration of onyx has never been found anywhere else in the world. The floors of the Capitol are constructed of yule marble from Marble, Colorado. In 1908 Colorado gold miners made a gift of 200 ounces of gold to gild the dome. Rising 272 feet above the ground, the gleaming gold dome on the Colorado Capitol is a fitting tribute to the history of our state.
