Muhammad Mosque ,UNESCO World Heritage Site, in Baku (Siniggala Mosque) – was built in the XI century in Icheri Sheher, Baku. The mosque is also known as Siniggala, for the name of its minaret – Siniggala (“damaged tower”).It is the first building in Azerbaijan, which is related to Islam and dated for its architectural ligature.
Juma mosque (Friday Mosque) was built in the 16th century, approximately 25 m height, balcony with differently ornamented parapet panels, decoration with stalactites, among them inscription in "Kufi" writing ornaments. The most ancient component of the mosque today is its minaret, the construction of which historians date to the first half of the 15th century.
Shirvanshahs' Palace, which belonged to the rulers of Shirvanshahs’ State in VI-XVI centuries, the masterpiece of XV century’s architecture is the only palace, embracing glory of medieval culture, science, art and all other moral beauties.Palace of Shirvanshahs is popularly termed by UNESCO as ‘one of the pearls’ of Azerbaijan architecture. Bukhara Caravanserai in Baku, located in Icheri Sheher dates back to the 15th century. Bukhara Caravanserai was primarily used by traders from Central Asia and India. It is speculated that the predominant traders among its continuous stream of visitors were merchants from Bukhara in modern-day Uzbekistan, thus explaining its name.
