Yasushi studied and worked in Canada for 4 years and Yoko did the same in Australia for 3 years. Now we’ve been government licensed guides for about 10 years in Japan. We guide all over Japan from small groups to large ones.
We’ve offered about 150 private tours on Viator Private Guide and one of top-rated guides in Tokyo. Unfortunately, Viator stops offering that great website so we decided to continue our service here.
If we are not available, one of our trustful guide friends will take care of you.

The abundance of culture, history and nature has earned Nikko a UNESCO World Heritage designation. Famed for its fall foliage, the scenery is spectacular in any season. The area’s wonderful natural scenery has a long history of drawing Buddhist and Shinto practitioners, and it is also the final resting place for Tokugawa Ieyasu,
the founder and first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan.
When you visit Nikko, you can’t miss Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Kemangafuchi, which you may not be able to stop by on other tours.
You can also feel the charm of nature at the overwhelmingly powerful Kegon Water Falls. There are many local cuisines you can enjoy such as yuba(tofu skin), Rainbow trout, etc…

Discover the unique beast that is Koenji with one of our friendly hosts by your side. Removed from the central crush of people, Koenji is Tokyo’s former punk neighborhood and still contains many relics from the 80s pre-boom Japan. Wander this retro area, visiting Shinto shrines, shopping at curio stores and snacking on the readily available street food (yakitori is our personal favorite). You can also enjoy some music with your host at one of the famed ‘live houses’ in the area, sipping on a craft beer whilst you get to know each other.
Within 24 hours after booking you’ll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you’ll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

Marvel at the Toki no Kane Tower or stop by the Festival Museum to glimpse the three story floats that parade the streets. From the Hattori Museum of Folklore and the Kawagoe Castle to soya shops and Penny Candy Lane – there’s so much to experience.

Whether you’re planning to live in Tokyo or you’re here to study, work or discover a new culture – we think you’re awesome! We also believe that the best way to feel settled in a new place is to be shown the ropes by somebody who lives there, and that’s where we’d like to help. Join one of our friendly hosts and get to know the city you’ll now be calling home. Explore your new neighborhood, get to grips with the practicalities (how to use public transport) and the way more fun stuff (where your new local ramen shop is).
